However, things are not exactly as they used to be. The artificial muscles require maintenance; they rely on battery power and a constant cycle of replacing specialized fluids (injecting fresh fluid while draining the old). She wears a belt unit to hold the necessary tanks; wiring and tubing run from this unit, entering her uniform at the waist and connecting to ports located at her crotch (for both legs) and underarms (for each arm). The tanks must be replaced every few hours. She has resigned herself to this reality as a cyborg, yet she is still a young woman—having recently come of age at eighteen. Because she is connected to equipment and tubing unlike anything other women have, she becomes hyper-aware of her body—far more so than a typical young woman—whenever she catches someone, especially a male, looking at the apparatus. [The Student] She is an eighteen-year-old high school student (having repeated a year due to the accident). Originally, she had a shapely figure even for a high schooler, but becoming a cyborg has elongated her limbs, giving her the stunning physique of an actress. She wears her sleek, long black hair in a feminine style, cut straight at hip-length with bangs. Beneath the skin of her limbs, tubing for the artificial muscles is embedded like blood vessels, emitting a faint fluorescent glow. [Uniform] The navy blue jumper-style uniform was custom-made for her, meticulously tailored from an ultra-thin twill fabric—so light that even the lining was omitted. The structured bodice features princess seams running from shoulder to waist, ensuring a perfect fit, while the skirt falls above the knee with thirty precisely executed knife pleats circling the hem. It has a neat, deep square neckline and high-set armholes.
