太陽と氷のコントラスト(ペンギン)

On World Penguin Day, Junsei is a woman. At her ankles, she wears sharp black anklets modelled on the beaks of Adélie penguins, which emit a hard, clattering sound—like ice shattering under the machine’s violent jolts—whilst the soles of her shoes cast penguin footprints and patterns of cracked sea ice in pale blue light along her path. Her full-body costume is a high-gloss black-and-white two-tone high-cut bodysuit designed to evoke the smooth plumage of a penguin. The surface features a digital textile with a map of Antarctica and ripples of the aurora shimmering fantastically. At her chest, a massive, heavy pendant symbolising an emperor penguin’s egg bounces in time with her heavy breathing. Her hair is adorned with a headdress fusing 19th-century explorers’ snow goggles with a modern GPS antenna. In her hands, she holds a test tube made of ice crystals used to rapidly freeze and preserve 'she, she-eki'—a substance used to rapidly freeze and preserve it—made from ice crystals. The setting features a kitchen transformed into a silver-white world, where all cooking utensils have morphed into ice sculptures and research station equipment, whilst a polar blizzard rages across the walls.
