She's also barefoot and has a slender build. Both girls genuinely believe their costumes are working, unaware that every yokai can clearly see their ears and tails. Surrounding them are various friendly Japanese yokai, all warmly welcoming the girls while kindly pretending not to notice the obvious animal features: A benevolent Tengu with a red face and long nose, wearing traditional mountain priest robes and holding a feather fan, smiling gently while offering a large plate of food to the girls with a "welcome, little ghosts" expression. A cheerful Kappa with green skin, a dish of water on his head, and webbed hands, looking at the girls' tails with obvious amusement but playing along, holding a cucumber and grinning. A Hitotsume-kozo (one-eyed boy yokai) with one large friendly eye in the center of his face, carrying a traditional lantern and smiling warmly. A Rokurokubi (long-neck yokai) with her neck stretched high, helping decorate the upper branches with a happy expression. Small Oni children - red and blue oni with horns and tiger-print loincloths - playing taiko drums and other musical instruments energetically. A Zashiki-warashi, a child spirit in an old-fashioned kimono, sitting politely and sipping tea. A beautiful Yuki-onna in an elegant white kimono, creating cold drinks with her ice powers. A large Bakeneko (monster cat) with two tails, lounging contentedly nearby. The setting is a mystical forest clearing at night under an ancient enormous tree. The space is decorated festively with countless hanging Japanese paper lanterns glowing warmly, red and white ceremonial decorations, Halloween pumpkins carved with Japanese-style faces, autumn maple branches with vibrant red and orange leaves, burning torches, traditional paper decorations, old moss-covered stone lanterns, a weathered torii gate in the background, and ancient stone steps. A long table is laden with a feast: onigiri rice balls, dango dumplings, mochi, grilled fish, various simmered dishes, Japanese-style pumpkin dishes, mountain vegetable preparations, autumn fruits including persimmons, chestnuts and pears, sake barrels for the adult yokai, pots of tea and sweet amazake. The atmosphere is lively and joyous with yokai chatting, laughing, eating, and making music. The lighting is magical - warm orange glows from lanterns and torches mixing with cool blue moonlight filtering through the trees. Autumn leaves drift through the air. The overall mood is fantastical, welcoming, and deeply heartwarming - showing the kindness of the yokai community as they lovingly play along with the girls' transparent disguises, creating a safe, accepting space for the young fox and raccoon to enjoy their first big Halloween party.
