Into the Flames

Everyone fears the fire and flees the burning town. Yet there were men who raced against the fleeing crowd. Neither the flames scorching the night sky nor the raining embers could stop them. The raised matoi standard was a sign that the firefighters had arrived. To protect those fleeing for their lives, they charged straight toward the inferno. “The fire's already beyond our control! Tear down the houses downwind and stop it from spreading!”
