Soukai Senki Crossregia: "...That's fine, whatever."

It was a twilight evening at WRA headquarters, several days after Shu had unexpectedly learned her secret. Erika Grayson had finished her mission and was on her way home. "Hey, Erika! Good work!" Turning around at the voice from behind, she saw Shu Sayama. "Sayama? You just finished too?" "Yeah. By the way, Erika. Can I talk to you for a moment?" "...What is it?" Shu began, smiling casually. "That hamburger place we went to the other day looked pretty good. Want to go together sometime?" "What...?!" Erika's cheeks instantly flushed red at the sudden invitation. "W-why do I have to go with you?!" "Well, that hamburger you were eating the other day looked really delicious. I wanted to try it myself." "Then why don't you just go alone?!" "Well, I suppose so. But since we're already here, I was wondering if we could go together?" "...!" Erika was speechless at his unexpected words. "Well, I won't force you if you don't want to." "N-nobody said they didn't want to!" "Huh?" "So, um..." Erika averted her gaze and gently pushed the hair behind her ear. "...It's fine. I don't mind going with you." "Really? Great! Let's go next weekend!" Shu smiled happily. Erika sighed softly, glancing at him out of the corner of her eye. "...Honestly. You're in good shape." But a small smile naturally formed on her lips. "Hmm? Did you say something?" "N-nothing!" On the way home, bathed in the setting sun, Erika subtly relaxed her cheeks, making sure Shu, walking beside her, wouldn't notice. -The fact that she was looking forward to the next holiday, just a little bit. Of course, that was an absolute secret from him. ★The previous story, "The Young Lady's Secret," can be found here: https://www.aipictors.com/posts/822393 ★"Character File #02 Erika Grayson" can be found here: https://www.aipictors.com/posts/793066 ★"Character File #01 Shu Sayama" can be found here: https://www.aipictors.com/posts/792863
