Flying tank, Donryu!

"Tanks that fly?!" Flying tanks?! Lieutenant Blont, from the Public Relations Department (Anti-Chaos Division), had heard that the Army's Assault Air Wing possessed such a thing. The next morning, he drove his modified T-54 to the airbase. He was dressed in a leather flight jacket, flight cap, and goggles—just like a pilot from World War II. "Lieutenant, that equipment...it's quite old-fashioned, isn't it?" "Huh? Really? I think this leather jacket looks cool!" Due to budget constraints, he carefully reused older equipment that was still usable. He actually quite liked this retro look. "More importantly, where are the flying tanks?! How do they fly?!" "...They're airplanes to begin with." In the hangar he led me to, sat a Type 100 Donryu heavy bomber. "Th-this is a flying tank...!" "Yes. Well, it's sometimes called that." "Wow!! They're both so cool!!" Lieutenant Blont, in high spirits, gazed alternately at the T-54 Kai and the Donryu. He was only supposed to be on a public relations tour, but a member of the air wing asked him, "Since you're here, would you like to take a ride?" And so, the experience flight unexpectedly turned into a full-fledged one. Inside the aircraft, he assisted the reconnaissance and liaison personnel, handling the map and radio. He was tasked with checking the terrain and ground facilities during flight and reporting. "This is Lieutenant Blont. We've entered the training airspace. The terrain and weather are both good. Communication with ground troops is normal." His earlier excitement seemed like a lie; he calmly reported while checking the map and his surroundings. "Target location confirmed. I will now report the ground facility layout and vehicle movements. Go ahead." Even though he was a public relations officer, he was still an army officer. In situations like this, she performs her job meticulously. "Report complete. This is Lieutenant Blont." After ending the communication, she glanced at the machine gun beside her. "By the way, this can fire like a tank, right?" "Today is reconnaissance training! Don't fire!" "Understood!" Lieutenant Blont, Public Relations Department (Anti-Chaos Branch). Today, her interest in the subject of her investigation far exceeded the scope of her duties.
