The End of the Journey

The starry sky I gazed upon after reaching the ends of the earth was closer and farther, and quieter than any landscape I had seen on my journey. Until dawn broke, I was alone, reflecting on the days gone by. The words exchanged in that town, the tears shed on that road—everything remains in my heart like distant stars. The sun rises. I look back on the path I've walked so far. My journey is over. The image that wells up in my heart is my hometown, which I've been away from for so long. Even if I go back, there will probably be no one waiting for me anymore. Nevertheless, I will go back. If the journey is over, I will go home. That is the true end point of my journey.
