A Mysterious Worshipper...?

It was a quiet evening at the shrine. There were no visitors in the grounds; only the sound of the wind rustling through the cedar trees could be heard. Inu-Smartphone stopped briefly in front of the torii gate and bowed deeply. From that point on, he walked not as a human office worker, but as a divine messenger. Though, his appearance remained that of a Corgi with the body of an adult male. He stood before the main hall. He offered his donation and straightened his posture. Bow, bow. Clap, clap. Bow. The dry clapping of hands echoed through the deserted shrine grounds. After a moment of silence, Inu-Smartphone closed his eyes. --I will now report on today's events in the human world. This morning, someone fell at the station. Three people nearby reached out almost simultaneously. However, because all three tried to help from the same direction, it became a little crowded. Even so, the one who fell was laughing. --Lunchtime. At work, someone who had scolded a subordinate was seen buying a drink for the same subordinate from a vending machine thirty minutes later. There was no apology, but perhaps that was a form of reconciliation, in its own human way. --Evening. Four people stopped almost simultaneously upon seeing a cat on the roadside. No one spoke to each other. However, all four were laughing at the same cat. Dog Smartphone paused for a moment. The back of the shrine was dark; nothing could be seen. Even so, he knew from the beginning that there was a listener there. --Humans, today as always, are inefficient, incomprehensible, and sometimes behave strangely. A gust of wind blew through once. The bell rope swayed slightly, even though it wasn't touched. Dog Smartphone's ears twitched. --But. Today, too, things are generally going well. There have been no major incidents. We have not yet confirmed any signs of misfortune that should be brought back to the sacred area. Finally, his voice changed slightly. -By the way, the cat video was very well received. We plan to show it to humans again tomorrow. That concludes my report. Dog Smartphone bowed deeply. When he stood up, he no longer looked like a divine messenger. He took out his smartphone and checked the list of saved videos. "Tomorrow, let's start with the cat that isn't in the box." Before leaving the torii gate, he looked back one last time. At that moment, a faint sound of bells could be heard from the back of the shrine. It might have been a reply. Dog Smartphone said nothing and bowed his head. *This may be an alternate setting, or it may be the main setting.
