Today's SeaArt theme is "The Seat Next to Me." Afternoon in the classroom. While the teacher's voice continued, 🐺, sitting next to me, was fast asleep. ...She's sleeping again. 🐺 "...Hmm..." Are you awake? 🐺 "...I'm awake..." He's talking in his sleep. He answers, but his eyes remain closed. I can't tell if he's clever or just clumsy. Then the teacher comes closer, so I gently tap the desk. 🐺 "Hmm... Ah!?... Safe?" Just barely. 🐺 "That was close..." He says that in a low voice, and immediately starts to doze off again. I thought he was feeling remorseful, but it seems sleepiness was much stronger. As a seatmate, he's someone I can't quite relax around.
