穴があいたままの服は着ちゃいけないけれど、つぎを当てた服を着るのは、ちっとも恥ずかしいことじゃない。 昭和天皇は子どものころ、学習院の院長だった乃木希典からそう教わったそうです。家に帰るとすぐ、服や靴下を繕ってもらったのだとか。 この話が好きで、たぬきの絵にしました。赤い糸の縫い目は、隠さずそのままにしています。
