I recently attended her live performance, "Kageitoe-kai Black Mass," held at "ChiBAN Chin'en," a live house frequented by underground idols. "Dark idol" doesn't refer to dollars exchanged through illegal means, of course. Apparently, she's an idol dispatched by a hellish organization (Kageitoe-kai) to spread darkness on the surface. Her worldview is something that might anger her fans (the "puppets"), but if you imagine it as a mix of Seikima-II + BABYMETAL + chuunibyou (eighth-grade syndrome), it's not too far off... The audience, acting as puppets, danced along to her movements like dolls... It was surreal. The usual post-concert photo session was cancelled because she wouldn't appear in the photos (apparently, it's like the saying, "demons don't show up in mirrors").
