magic train robbery

"Haaah..." A girl with fox ears was holding a magic camera, taking pictures of the scenery from the train window. Dakinira, under the title of newspaper reporter, had been assigned to cover the magic train and its destination. "So, I have to leave the capital for a while..." She understood that it was about her new, somewhat dangerous friend, Lilith. After an awkward moment with Lilith at the concert hall, she had been warned by a retired thief-like butler. He warned her that if she wasn't fully prepared, she shouldn't get involved with Lilith. He didn't have any direct vested interest in her; he had approached her knowing she was the priestess of the God of Fortune. Apparently, it was a well-intentioned warning. That's precisely why it hurt so much. Furthermore, when she returned to the newspaper office, this interview was brought up. Even the butler, who had no involvement, knew about it. There was no way the people at the newspaper office, with their close, family-like bond, wouldn't know. They must be trying to settle things while Dakinira is out. "Was I being too nosy? I was just trying to share my good fortune..." Dakinira, even more dejected, stares blankly at her camera. She unconsciously clicks the shutter repeatedly. "Peaceful..." And then it happened. There's a tremendous noise, and the train comes to a sudden halt. Even though she's spaced out, she's a thief, so she maintains her balance in the tilting train without being thrown out. "Train robbery!!" "Ugh, is that a demon?!" "It's a demon!! A demon attack!!" A gigantic, humanoid figure, impossible for a human, or even an orc, lifts the train and smashes it to pieces. A small demon, similar in build to a human, rampages, firing dangerous magic indiscriminately. It looked like a beast, but it was clearly larger than a bear, and it let out a spine-chilling roar. Its eyes were a fiery red, and it raged as if fire was erupting and setting everything ablaze. "Well, well. No time to be depressed..." It seems the job of the shrine maiden of the god of fortune isn't just to share good fortune.
