Is the Secret Ingredient Undead?

"Cheche, wh-what should we do, bear? These undead are practically immune to Poo-nyan's claws, bear." Surrounded by undead, the bear beastkin girl was panicking. Swinging her bear-like arms would shatter the skeletons' bones, but after a while they'd gather together and start moving again. It seemed they wouldn't move if they were completely pulverized. "Keep going!! Just a little more!!" Her dwarf companion, Cheche, or Cherky, replied, wielding her battle axe. "There's no way there's food in a cave like this, bear!! I don't want any rotting corpses, bear!!" "Not necessarily," The dwarf girl said, taking something out of her stash and putting it on her finger. "There are strange mushrooms and herbs that have absorbed magical energy growing here. They're magical materials, but they seem to taste good too." "R-really, bear!! Cheche!!" The bear girl's movements suddenly became more agile. "My heart, become the blade that strikes down the enemy," Cherky chanted in common language as she put on the ring, and a dazzling light leaked from the ring, being absorbed into Cherky's battle axe and the claws of the bear girl, Poo-nyan. Common magic is a very simple form of magic used by wizards, made usable by ordinary people with just a password. It's imbued into some symbolic object, like a ring, and can be used repeatedly using the user's mental power. Cherky used the Enchant Weapon spell. "Now, there are no more obstacles. Let's hurry up and eat." With the magical blessing, the great battle axe and bear claws reduced the undead to bone remnants and rotting flesh in less than a minute. "Mushroom dishes are delicious, bear." It seems that the undead standing in their way are no obstacle to their appetite.
