Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival (Taiwan)

An event where lanterns with wishes written on them are released into the night sky during the Lantern Festival, which falls around the 15th day of January in the lunar calendar. A variety of lanterns, from traditional lanterns to those using the latest technology such as projection mapping, brighten up the town. A fantastic festival of light and art.
