God is in Heaven, and All Is Well

This is the last line from Anne of Green Gables, but it's originally from Browning's "Pippa Passes By." This poem is filled with all sorts of terrible things, like the misdeeds and hardships of various people, and there may be times when things just don't go as planned. But is that really true? Isn't it true that we are in a new future, filled with light, just as Pippa sings? These two lines of the poem offer such a paradox, and sing of the perfection of the world God creates. Incidentally, this poem is also engraved on the NERV logo in Neon Genesis Evangelion. God's in his Heaven All's right with the world! God reigns in heaven. All is well in the world. ---------------------------------- ART_AI: DALLE3
