Stained glass at Bireijima Station

Kaohsiung is a port city in southern Taiwan. In 2012, an American travel site ranked it as the second most beautiful subway station in the world, and in 2014, the travel magazine CNN Travel ranked it number one in Asia. The Dome of Light is a work that Italian artist Narcissus Quagliata spent four and a half years creating. All of the stained glass is fitted by hand. The beauty of light and color created by 4,500 pieces of stained glass is overwhelming.
