Exodus Philadelphia Experiment 21XX

In the mid-21st century, observations by space telescopes revealed a black hole approximately 10 light-years away in space, moving towards the solar system at 40% the speed of light. Facing this sudden crisis of human extinction, the Eldridge Project was launched, based on a plan for humanity to relocate to Alpha Centauri and a military experiment conducted in the 20th century, to temporarily evacuate Earth to another dimension. Using resources from asteroids, a gigantic colony spaceship was constructed in Earth orbit. Simultaneously, construction of super-massive electromagnetic wave emission facilities began in Antarctica, Siberia, and Alaska. Ten million selected humans departed on the completed colony spaceship, while the remaining humans activated a "device" as their last hope.
