A Cat, a Kotatsu, and Mandarins

Snow falls softly and silently. The garden is blanketed in white, wrapped in the stillness of winter. Gazing out at the scenery, I pick up a mandarin from the kotatsu. The cat, who claimed this cozy spot before me, is already fast asleep. It seems to have no intention of moving anytime soon. Not wanting to disturb it, I leisurely peel my mandarin. There are worse ways to spend an afternoon.
